This painting begins my nine month journey to capture the beauty of this local nature center through plein air painting. Today, I started in the prairie, where the grasses are tall and the yellow flowers abundant. Also enjoyed three turkeys passing by while painting, I was about 6 feet from them when I spot this picture.
